Inspiring Journeys

Inspirational stories of refugee histories, journeys and testimonials of achievements. These stories will be meant to challenge, inspire and give us a positive outlook towards refugee issues.  Throughout history, people have fled their countries to escape persecution and we as a muslim has a long history of providing a welcome home for those fleeing persecution, war or natural disaster.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) recognised that victims of human rights abuse must be able to leave their countries freely and seek refuge elsewhere. Refugees are never here by choice but rather by the cruel hand of persecutive force. Listening to these stories will change our perceptions and inspire most amongst us.
